I’m sure you have heard that success favors the bold and the strong. Simply put, you cannot wait for it to come to you. You have to go after it. You also have to go to it with force. In other words, you cannot be casual when it comes to getting what you want.
Most people in life are raising their hands saying they want a thing. However, very few people will actively get up and go get it. I often observe that those people have too much faith. I know. It sounds impossible to have too much faith. After all, faith is what is lacking.
Well, when I say too much faith I’m talking about stupid faith. Have you ever seen people who want to move mountains yet they have not idea how to move the mountains? I’m sure you know the kind of people I’m talking about. Your thinking is probably, “Are they living a real life?” And I think the same thing.
Now, that is not to say you cannot accomplish any thing with faith. Of course you can. That’s not what I’m saying. In fact, I will leave this for another discussion for later. The way I see it, faith is the first requirement for success.
I just want to sound the alarm for you here to make you aware that you cannot get what you want by wishing. You have to, at some point, take the necessary steps to go after it. Success has no favorites. It only obeys natural laws. And that natural I’m referring here is action.
So, let me ask you this: When was the last time you took some bold actions to go after what you want? Really. Can you tell me how many actions you have taken recently? When I say bold action I mean facing your fears. You know there’s no guarantee. You know you might fail. You know others might ridicule you and call you stupid.
You still find the courage to act. You still believe you can get that which you are looking for. You still cherish the dream even when there’s no sign it’s going to happen. Do you see what I mean?
When you have that kind of mindset, you are demonstrating that you are bold. As I mentioned before, success goes to the bold not the timid. It’s not going to those who are casually trying to succeed.
Let’s say you want to climb the ladder of success in your workplace. Are you going to show up to work every day wishing to get a promotion? That would be a bad idea.
First, I think you should make it known that you want a promotion. Then, you have to actively learn how to get a promotion at work so you can do the things that will attract the promotion to you. This is demonstrating you are serious about your success and you are actively pursuing that success.
The fundamental point I’m making here is that you must take a stand for your success. You must do something every single day to attract what you want. Have faith and work your faith. Because, you see, inactive faith is foolishness. Not having a solid plan of action is foolishness.
Now, starting right now, go do the things that can make you successful. Because until you do, nothing will happen. You will continue to live a life of frustration.
